Names are Beauty?

Posted by: rbedi // Category: Uncategorized // 3:34 pm

Hi all art lovers…buyers…and collectors! I have come to the conclusion that a brand name sells more than the actual content on the canvas. A piece of shit on the canvas will be glorified as the work of a genious…as long as it has a famous signature. The art-pundits and scholors will search all the dictioneries in the world to dig out colorful words to describe the masterpiece. It will be auctioned for millions! If you doubt me…just try it out!

  1. Could it be that some are scared to purchase art? If you see beauty that you wish to view as much as you can, buy the print and put it somewhere in your abode to see everyday.

Let nobody be in judgement of what your eye likes to gaze upon.

That is what I offer……….not very difficult to wrap your mind around.

  2. Hi Mia, There’s nothing like an original. Even if it has the signature of an unknown. Remember, You will be the only one to have that original in the whole world. However, I agree with you…if a print pleases youe eyes as much as an original…by all means hang it and enjoy. After all, originals are meant for collectors.

    Nice look… And beautiful thoughts!

    The art is wonderful…

  4. Nice…

  5. Sadly: Duh!

Just have a look at some of the pieces hung in many of the museums (been to the MOMA recently?…).

    Depressing and discouraging, true.
But, the question is: are we’all painting in order to sell, or in order to paint?

  6. Both. Otherwise how do you sustain your interest? Not by piling up your canvases in your basement? Somebody has to pay for the paints and canvases don’t you think. Look, if you are a dancer, you got to perform on stage for recognition, unless you are the type dancing in front of the mirror in your own house. Similarly an artist needs to be recognized…and the only way you are recognized today is by sales, period.
